Farewell, Year 10s

To the Sunshine Campus,

I would personally like to say thank you to the principals, teachers, students and everyone in between that has made our journey at this campus one to remember. The appreciation we have for these teachers cannot be described in words, they have supported us and encouraged us in every way possible and made us the strongest, smartest and happiest students we are today. A lot of laughs here and there that made us consider going to school the next day. Thank you again to Sunshine Campus for making this adventure fun!

Enas Al-Hilli

I have been honoured to be the Secondary School Vice-Captain of Sirius College. It has been a privilege to be a student at the Sunshine Ibrahim Dellal campus. I came from the border of Victoria and NSW from a town called Albury. I went to Albury Public School from Prep to graduating Year 6. Transitioning to Sirius College has been a great experience as socialising with different people from different backgrounds, since Sirius College is a multicultural school, having over twenty-two different ethnicities of people. It has definitely brought me in to line of maturity since here there is a strong base of discipline.

Also, at this school I have learnt how to be responsible and build resilience to try my hardest. The teachers most importantly have been wonderful, pushing students as well as myself to our highest academic capabilities, as well as building a strong friendly relationship over the past years, which will be truly missed.

This year has been the best so far, as I have been involved in many school projects as School Vice-Captain, being the MC for the 2019 Awards Night, as well as hosting the Deputy Premier of Victoria and Minister for Education, the Hon. James Merlino. To end this year, we had a special farewell outing on Thursday 21 November, going bowling, laser tagging (and of course I came first in laser tag) and ending the day with a special feast at Almina in Docklands.

Thank you to the teachers at the Ibrahim Dellal Campus for nurturing me into an intelligent, athletic and of course an amazing student.

Thanks,
